  • Smør Bord offers catering across Edinburgh and the Lothians for both corporate and residential settings. While our focus is smørrebrød and salads, we can also offer grazing tables complete with meats, cheeses, dips and much more.

    All of our boxes and salads come with an allergen card displaying the main allergens in all the foods.

    It’s important to note that we are a small kitchen and cannot 100% guarantee our boxes are allergen-free.

  • All of our Rye bread comes Company Bakery. Ingredients: Rye, Sea Salt, Seeds (Flax and Pumpkin)

    Rye bread is a nutrient-dense, high-fibre bread with significant health benefits. Rich in fibre, lignans, and phenolic acids, it aids in reducing inflammation, stabilising blood sugar, and supporting a healthy gut microbiome.

  • We do! We are using a few suppliers at the moment in order to refine the texture and make sure our GF alternative is as delicious as possible. Stay tuned for our final supplier selection!

  • We’re always on the lookout for Scottish produce that fits the bill. We work with Tobermory Trout on a lot of our premium salmon and trout options, as well as Company Bakery as our rye supplier. In addition, we love the Edinburgh Butter Company for smør (butter!). When it comes to cheese, we try and use Scottish cheese as much as possible. Sweet treats are provided by Mimi’s Bakehouse, another wonderful Edinburgh business.

Ingredients, allergies and intolerances

  • We recommend that smørrebrød boxes and salads be refrigerated until required. Once out of the fridge, these are best consumed within 4 hours. but they can last, if refrigerated upon delivery, until the following day. We cannot take responsibility for food eaten after 4 hours of arrival.

  • This depends on what we end up putting on your grazing table as different dishes may have slightly different timings attached to them.

    Most smørrebrød and salads will typically be fine for four hours, but there may be some which require refrigeration. Once you have chosen items for your table, I’ll advise timings around tables.

  • Absolutely - we can either deliver boxes for you to use on your own table amongst other items you plan to serve, or we can deliver and set up for an additional fee.

    Dishes and board hire can be arranged at an additional cost.

  • Of course, we work with other local suppliers for flowers and more and can make sure that everything is decorated as you’d like on the day. Balloons can be provided by Letta Flora. These services come at an additional cost.

  • Free delivery to EH1, EH2, EH3, EH4, EH5, EH6, EH7, EH8, EH9, EH10, EH11, EH12 for orders over £50.

  • Please indicate if you require your food for a specific time, and I will ensure our deliveries are scheduled to accommodate this.

  • I can leave your box in a safe place or with a neighbour. As a small business, I will not be able to reattempt delivery and you will not be eligible for a refund.
